At WindowWorks, we know new windows, doors, and siding can make a big impact on the look of your home. However, the importance of maintaining your soffits, fascia, and gutters cannot be overlooked. Not only do these features provide a cohesive look to your home’s exterior, they improve energy efficiency and protect your home from unwanted moisture.
Since 1996, WindowWorks has worked to provide exceptional customer service while transforming the exterior of Chicago homes. We are the soffit, fascia, and gutter experts of Chicagoland and our home exterior contractors will help you choose the right systems for your home’s specific needs.
About Soffits, Fascia, and Gutters
Soffits, fascia, and gutters need to be kept up to date to protect your home from the elements – including water and pests. Gutters divert water away from your home, protecting it from flooding and erosion, and damage to the siding and foundation. However you may not have heard of soffits and fascia, which go hand in hand with your home gutter system.
Your exterior soffits appear underneath your roof overhang, and are usually not visible from the road. Soffits have venting that helps with airflow between the roof and attic to stop mold from growing and help with attic heat in the summer. However if your soffits have cracks or holes, it can become a prime place for insects and other animals to take over.
Fascia are the exposed board directly above the soffit which supports the bottom row of your roof and holds up your gutters. Fascia help provide a seamless appearance between your roof and siding.
Soffits, Fascia, and Gutter Replacement and Installation
Because soffits, fascia, and gutters help protect your home from water damage, they are especially vulnerable to rot and water damage. Damage to these systems or improper installation can lead to roof damage, pest infestation, and costly repairs. You may need your soffits, fascia, or gutters replaced if you are experiencing:
- Leaking gutters
- Insect or animal infestation
- Roof damage
- Signs of water damage
- Mold or frost in the attic
WindowWorks can provide a fascia and soffit installation anywhere throughout the Greater Chicago Area. We will inspect your home’s soffits, fascia, and gutters to determine whether you need them replaced. If there is a problem with your existing system, we’ll help you find a solution that fits your needs and budget.
We have a fully trained and experienced team of professionals that can install your soffit and fascia at the same time to reduce costs, rather than having them done separately. The soffit is installed first, then we wrap the fascia horizontally on the edges of the soffit to cover the exterior of your home.
Features of our Soffits, Fascia, and Gutter
Our soffit panels have an "outward weave" design to maximize visual appeal, while providing essential attic ventilation at the same time. Solid panels can be installed vertically for exceptional aesthetic appeal at entrances and gable ends.
We offer two different types of soffit and fascia, including:
- Vinyl Soffits and Fascia
- Aluminum Soffits and Fascia
Our gutters and downspouts are custom manufactured on the jobsite to ensure a 100% seamless installation. For additional roof and home protection, metal flashing is used to prevent water from finding its way between the roof and the gutter. The corners of your home where the gutters meet are joined with prefabricated heavy duty units to eliminate leakage and unsightly miters. The joints are then sealed with a specialized gutter sealant instead of caulk, which will eventually break down from UV exposure.
Our showroom in Orland Park is filled with examples of our work, and we encourage you to give us a call for more information on the services we can provide you.
